usa/canada: toll free: europe: (315) 4328909 (800) 4116596 +44 2392232392 available on tape and reel for pick and place manufacturing. mod el b d 0 2 0 5 f 50 50 a00 rev. a mounting configuration: in order for xinger surface mount components to wor k optimally, the proper impedance transmission line s must be used to connect to the rf ports. if this condition is not satisfied, insertion loss, isolation and vs wr may not meet published specifications. all of the xinger components are constructed from c eramic filled ptfe composites which possess excelle nt electrical and mechanical stability having x and y thermal coe fficient of expansion (cte) of 17 ppm/ o c. an example of the pcb footprint used in the testing of these parts is shown below. an example of a dc biased footprint is also shown below. in specific designs , the transmission line widths need to be adjusted to the unique dielectric coefficients and thicknesses as well as varying pick and place equipment tolerances. if desired, dc biasing through the part may be acco mplished by the addition of an inductor on pin #7. pins #6 and #8 are dc connected to pin #7. the inductor should be of sufficient value to provide rf isolation on pin #7. no dc bias with dc bias
